NBA: Warriors sign Donte DiVincenzo to 2-year deal
Shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo is joining the Golden State Warriors on a two-year contract worth $9.3 million, ESPN reported Friday.
DiVincenzo split the 2021-22 season between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Sacramento Kings after a February trade sent him to Northern California. The 2018 first-round pick out of Villanova played his first three-plus NBA seasons with the Bucks, winning an NBA title with them in 2021.
Now he’ll join the reigning league champs, the Warriors, who needed to add a reserve guard after Gary Payton II signed with the Portland Trail Blazers in free agency.
DiVincenzo averaged 10.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game and shot 36.8 percent from 3-point range in 25 games for the Kings, including one start. He has averaged 9.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in his career across 201 games (91 starts).
