MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail throughout the country on Monday with high chances of rain in the afternoon and evening, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon inaasahan po natin ang maaliwalas na panahon at mainit na panahon lalo na bandang umaga pero sa hapon at gabi posible pa rin po ‘yung mga isolated o ‘yung mga pulo pulong pagulan o pagkulog,” said Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina.

(In Luzon we expect clear weather and warm temperatures especially in the morning but in the afternoon and evening it is still possible for the isolated rain or thunder to occur.)

The same weather will also prevail in Visayas, as well as the high chances of isolated rain in the afternoon and evening.

“Malaking bahagi rin ng Mindanao makakaranas ng mainit na panahon lalo na sa umaga, mataas ang tiyansa ng ulan sa hapon at gabi,” Badrina said.

(Large parts of Mindanao will also experience hot weather especially in the morning, with a high chance of rain in the afternoon and evening.)

Listed below are temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Monday:

Metro Manila: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Baguio City: 16 to 23 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  24 to 33 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao: 24 to 34 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Tagaytay: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cebu: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 26 to 31 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius

Zamboanga City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius

Davao City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Meanwhile, no gale warning is raised over the country’s seaboards, as only slight to moderate sea conditions are forecast throughout the country’s surrounding coasts.
