Drug suspect nabbed in Puerto Princesa City buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN––Police arrested on Thursday, May 19, a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan province, according to the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police office.
Col. Roberto Bucad, Puerto Princesa police chief, said Percival Veloria Jr., 53, was arrested at 8:29 p.m. after allegedly yielding “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P1,500 in Barangay Sta. Monica. Veloria has been tagged as a high-value individual.
Also seized from the suspect were two more sachets of shabu, weighing about 0.60 grams, valued at P5,000.
The suspect, a resident in the same village, is under police custody and will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
