LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a teenage girl drug suspect in Imus City in Cavite province and seized P2,210,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Saturday night (April 2), report said Sunday.
Police Colonel Arnold Abad, Cavite police chief, said in a report Sunday that anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Johaira Hadjizaman, 19, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Medicion 2-F at around 7:45 p.m.
Seized from the suspect were four knot tied plastics containing shabu with a total weight of 325 grams and with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P2,210,000.
The police tagged Hadjizaman as a “high-value individual” in the illegal drug trade capable of disposing high volume of shabu.
The police are investigating the suspects’ source of the illegal drugs.
“Police authorities are equipped in their anti-illegal drug operations because of sufficient information and proper coordination especially if working with other units,” said PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos in a statement.
“I laud our police personnel for continuously heeding my order to intensify efforts to curb this problem,” he added.
The suspect was detained and is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs act of 2002 for possession and sale of illegal drugs. With reports from Zacarian Sarao, INQUIRER.net
