Belmonte’s local party endorses Sotto’s VP bid

MANILA, Philippines — The local party led by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte endorsed on Tuesday the vice presidential bid of Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

“Si Senator Tito Sotto ang napili ng Serbisyo sa Bayan party na i-endorso bilang susunod na bise presidente ng Pilipinas,”  Belmonte announced during a campaign event in Quezon City circle covered court.

(Senator Tito Sotto was chosen by the Serbisyo sa Bayan party to be endorsed as the next vice president of the Philippines.)

Belmonte stressed Sotto’s track record and achievements, adding that the Senate president has no issues involving corruption.

The Senate president was the former vice mayor of Quezon City from 1988 to 1992.
