Olongapo logs zero new COVID-19 cases anew

OLONGAPO CITY–For the third time this year, the city did not record any new COVID-19 cases, local data showed on Monday, Feb. 21.

It was on Feb. 14 this year when the city first recorded zero new COVID-19 cases after experiencing a virus surge last month. On Sunday, the city also did not record any new infections.

According to the city’s COVID-19 task force, six new recoveries from the disease were also added to its daily tally in the last two days, bringing down to 20 its number of active infections. It had 28 active COVID-19 cases on Feb. 19.

Since the pandemic struck in 2020, the city has already registered 6,952 COVID-19 cases with 6,587 recoveries. It reflected a 95-percent recovery rate.
