Teen stars Miggs Cuaderno, Kyle Ocampo and Shecko Apostol share trivia about themselves

For sure, a new crop of young stars is always needed. There is no question that the survival of the entire showbiz industry depends entirely on the discovery, development and showcase of new young stars. Why so? It is for the simple reason that no matter how some have become big names in this industry, no one at all can defeat Father Time.

In a lot of ways, “Regal Studio Presents” does have that balance regarding its casting choices because there is not one episode that has aired that did not include at least one, two, or more relatively new, developing and promising young stars that deserve a look whether they come from the Regal camp or from GMA. Each new episode is a chance to give viewers a sample of what they can do acting-wise. So, there is that palpable feeling that “Regal Studio Presents” is reminding everyone that this is the venue to be if you are curious to know, and even wanting to make a wager with your friends, who among young teen stars continually being rolled out will really make it big sooner than later.

This Sunday’s episode entitled “Yaya Terror” will be the fourth episode to be aired on GMA Network that will show stars just in their teens. They are propped up by one veteran, established and popular actor who will serve as the “anchor” of the episode. So, here, balanced casting is clearly implemented led by veteran comedian and actor Pokwang, no less. The young ones are Miggs Cuaderno, Kyle Ocampo, and Shecko Apostol.

“Yaya Terror” is written by Joey Javier Reyes and directed by Crisanto B. Aquino and produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc.

FEATURED STORIES

Below are my questions for young teens Miggs Cuaderno, Kyle Ocampo and Shecko Apostol.

What was the most fun part for you while taping this episode?

Miggs Cuaderno: Maybe for me it was when I got to work with “Mama” Pokwang because it is one of my dreams to be able to work with one of the veteran comedians we have now. And to be a part again of this show Regal Studio Presents is an honor.

Kyle Ocampo: I would have to say the same, too. It is being able to work with Ms. Pokwang. And, of course, to be able to work with someone new like Shecko. And to be able to work again with Miggs. So there, I would have to say it is also a highlight for me to be able to guest here at Regal Studio Presents. And it is my first time also, which is exciting for me. I am very happy!

Shecko Apostol: Because it is my first guesting at “Regal Studio Presents” I have been looking forward to working with an award-winning actor in Miggs. And also to work with Kyle, who I consider to be a good actor. And of course, to be able to work with Ms. Pokwang, who is a great comedian and actor.

While taping this episode who became your best friend? What made you become close to each other?

Miggs Cuaderno: Well, it has to be Kyle, since I got to work with her 10 or 11 years ago. So, we have become very close ever since. It is because we both started at the same time, so there is already a natural bond between us. However, regarding Shecko, it was my first time getting to work with him. In fact, until now we get to chat and communicate with each other every single day. So, there, among us teens, we have become close to each other, and with Ms. Pokwang.

Kyle Ocampo: Miggs said it since we both started at the same time in showbiz. Also, regarding “Regal Studio Presents” it is Shecko who I have gotten to talk to. But when we got to talk, it was nighttime already when our taping was over. It was because there was a sequence that we had to finish and we helped each other in finishing that sequence. We wanted to finish it properly and we did it.

Shecko Apostol: Miggs became my best friend on the set. On the night of the taping, that is, when I and Kyle became close because of the sequence we had to do. But, with Miggs, from the morning till the night of the taping we were together and talking, so he became my best friend. Also, because we share a lot of similarities in our interests and hobbies.

Who is your favorite superhero now?

Miggs Cuaderno: Who is my favorite superhero? It is the Flash. Ever since I have been a Flash fan. Six years ago, I got to watch him for the first time in the television series and up to now I still watch him there. I find him intriguing and I can only imagine what it must feel like to have his power. How must it feel to move so fast like him?

Kyle Ocampo: I don’t really watch superheroes. That is why I don’t know them so well. But, I would have to say Spider-Man because I got to see him in movies. He is the only superhero I know.

Shecko Apostol: Same answer. I have also been a fan of the Flash since I was in High School. I have seen all the episodes of all the seasons. It is because he is awesome, awesome! He really is my idol. I, in fact, even buy action figures of the Flash. I even have a key chain with his thunder emblem. So, there, I am really a super fan of Flash. I have memorized his line, “My name is Barry Allen! I’m the Flash.” As long as it is the Flash, I am a fan truly.
