PNP reshuffle: Carlos appoints 16 police officials to new posts

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos named 16 police officials to new posts on Thursday in a major restructuring of the country’s police force.

According to Carlos in a statement, the retirement of some officials — namely, MGen. Rolando Hinanay, PMGen. Nickson Muksan, and PMGen. Domingo Cabillan — triggered the upward movement and opened opportunities in the career pattern of other senior officers,

“PMGen Muksan and PMGen Cabillan will be placed under the Office of chief PNP before their retirement,” said Carlos.

As a result, Carlos appointed Police Maj Gen. Herminio Tadeo Jr. as the new Directorate for the Personal and Records Management, while Police Maj. Gen. Bartolome Bustamante is set to take the helm of the Directorate for Plans and Police Maj. Gen. Walter Castillejos as the new Director of Police Community Relations.
