Multiple People Killed in Milwaukee Brewery Mass Shooting

Updated 5:50 p.m. EST: Multiple people are dead following a mass shooting Wednesday afternoon at the MillerCoors campus in Milwaukee.
In a brief gaggle with reporters, Mayor Tom Barrett confirmed that there had been fatalities but did not say how many. He said that the number of dead may include the shooter.
“It’s a horrible, horrible day for the employees here,” Barrett said. As of 4:45 p.m. CT, law enforcement were continuing to sweep the massive complex that’s home to the MillerCoors brewery, one of the most popular tourism spots in the Wisconsin city.
Officials have remained fairly tight-lipped on the nature of the shooting or the suspect so far. Some outlets including Fox 6, citing police sources, reported that the shooter was a disgruntled former employee who’d been fired earlier in the day.

Police, armored vehicles, and ATF agents responded to a “critical incident” at the MillerCoors campus in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon.
Local news reports indicated multiple casualties following an active shooter situation. According to WISN 12, a local ABC affiliate, at least two people are dead, including the shooter, and others shot. Law enforcement have yet to confirm those details.
Police responded to the beer manufacturer’s campus shortly after 2 p.m. local time.
Video footage of the scene showed a massive police presence, including armored vehicles, tactical officers, police tape and other emergency units. Federal agents from ATF were also on site.
According to Miller Coors’ website, its campus is a gun free zone and concealed carry weapons are not allowed on site.
Nearby high schools were placed on lockdown.
