Matteo Guidicelli breaks silence on ‘secret wedding’ with Sarah Geronimo

SIX days after his controversial “secret wedding” with actress-singer Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli on Wednesday broke his silence and for the first time made the confirmation himself as he posted a message of appreciation on his Instagram account.
Along with a photo of himself and his wife, smiling as they toast with their hands intertwined, the 29-year-old actor-triathlete captioned, “02 20 2020, A day full of pure love, honesty and genuine emotions. Yes, we got married. Mr and Mrs. Guidicelli. First and foremost, We would like to express the overwhelming joy, love and excitement we have in beginning our life together.“
Guidicelli said he and Sarah decided to keep their marriage as private as possible but acknowledged “each and everyone” who “have been part of our love journey”.
“We want to say, thank you. Friends, family and everyone on ‘social media’ [who] have been a source of inspiration, strength, and most importantly, of LOVE,” Guidicelli said.
The Army reservist also addressed the reported scuffle during the reception after their wedding. According to a police report filed by Geronimo’s close-in security detail, Jerry Tamara, he was punched by the actor in an altercation that followed after the actress’ mother, Divine, gatecrashed the event.
Apparently, no one from Geronimo’s side was aware that a wedding was about to happen.
“That evening was almost perfect until some unexpected events took place, but don’t worry I never ‘punched’ anyone. I will forever stand up and protect my wife just as how my father would protect my whole family,” Guidicelli said in his post.
He also thanked his family “for loving Sarah like a daughter.”
“Our family is growing and we are blessed. Papa and mama, thank you for deeply loving and welcoming Sarah into our family. In time, with God’s grace and Love, everything will heal and fall into place,” he said.
He then ended his message post of with the words “Mr and Mrs. Geronimo.”
“We are happy, we are blessed, and we are husband and wife! Let’s always celebrate life and love! Nothing will ever defeat pure honest LOVE. God bless everyone for your love and support!
