Why we love it: This new footwear collection from the American brand Coach puts a spin on classic athletic sneakers.
The release includes three styles — The Court Sneaker, The Runner and The Lowline — each one designed to, “fuse the codes of American sportswear with Coach’s proprietary CitySole technology,” according to a news release. Thanks to the CitySole technology, which features “shock-absorbing cushioned pods,” the designs merge fashion with function — and comfort.
The campaign for the new shoe collection, which features styles for men and women, sees superstars Jennifer Lopez and Michael B. Jordan rocking the new releases.
“When you grow up in New York, sneakers are such a big part of your lifestyle because you have to pound the pavement,” Lopez said in the release. “Coach CitySole is perfect for my lifestyle — I’m a dancer, and I’m always on the go and they’re very versatile. They can be dressed up and dressed down, and can be functional but also super fashionable.”
There’s sure to be a style-and-colour combination within the collection that speaks to every style preference, but we’re partial to the CitySole Runner ($195). Available in three colour ways, including this vibrant pink-and-red combination, the design has refined ‘dad-shoe’ vibes that we’d be happy to embrace as we step into spring.
