Bong Go aids Parañaque fire victims

SEN. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go provided assistance to fire victims who lost their homes in Barangay San Isidro in Parañaque City.
The blaze that hit a two-storey residential building affected 168 families and claimed the lives of two children. A woman, Nenita Nenada, was also injured.
Go sympathized with the families of those who died and told them that he will shoulder the funeral expenses of the victims.
The senator also distributed relief goods and financial assistance to the families affected by the incident.
“May dala po akong tulong sa inyong lahat. May groceries, pagkain at financial assistance sa inyo, pantawid muna ngayon. Lahat po kayo, makakatanggap nito. Bukod pa rito ang tulong mula sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno (I brought groceries and financial assistance for all of you. This is only for your immediate needs for now. Apart from this, you will also get assistance from the agencies of government),” Go told the affected residents.
To encourage students to immediately go back to school despite their misfortune, the senator said that he will help replace their uniforms and school supplies.
The Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor also provided assistance to the fire victims. JAVIER JOE ISMAEL
