No confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pasig City General Hospital
MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) on Tuesday assured the public that there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 after fake messages about the virus circulated online.
In a Facebook post, Pasig City Public Information denied claims of an online message which asks the public to avoid PCGH after a Chinese patient tested positive for the COVID-19.

After further confirmation, the management of the hospital said there are no confirmed cases and there are no patients under investigation (PUI) in PCGH.
“Pasig City General Hospital has NO CONFIRMED cases of COVID-19 (nCoV-ARD) and has NO Persons Under Investigation (PUI),” read the report.
The management of the PCGH said they assessed one PUI for the coronavirus disease but was later moved to the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila. The PUI’s samples yielded negative results for COVID-19, the management also said.
“We only had one case assessed last February 13, 2020, but was transferred to San Lazaro Hospital a few hours after. The test sent at RITM revealed negative results for COVID-19,” read the statement.
The PCGH also said they are equipped in dealing with cases of COVID-19.
“We assure you that we will be able to identify and isolate such cases.
If there will be questions, our lines are open for information and updates,” read the hospital.
