Just in time for National Arts Month, Metrobank Foundation’s Art Made Public winners were highlighted in Spectrum, The Art Possibilities recently at the Atrium of S Maison.

A joint project of SM, The Metrobank Foundation, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the United Architects of the Philippines, the exhibit showcased the recent artworks of past MADE awardees, highlighting new art forms and styles, unique themes, and exceptional works that reflect the journey of the artists.

Featured works included the 2019 MADE awardees Jayme Lucas (“Sugat ng Tahanan”), Christian Maglente (Untitled), Cedrick De La Paz (“15/30”), Dave Alcon (“Distinct), and Arman Arago (“Ang Tanda ng Bata”).

Recent masterpieces of Leeroy New (“Sigbin with Tree”), Mark Justiniani (“Hole”), Elmer Borlongan (“Record Digger”), Alfredo Esquillo (“Laban ng Loob 2”), and Anton Del Castillo (“In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted”) were also part of the exhibit, including those of Raffy Napay (“I Live Here”) and Mark Andy Garcia (“Existence”).

No less than Metrobank Foundation President Aniceto Sobrepena, Jr. graced the event with his wife Anna, together with United Architects of the Philippines’ Jun Andres and Fundacion Sanso’s curator, Ricky Francisco. SM Officials led by SVP for Marketing Millie Dizon together with S Maison’s Mall Manager Grace Mindanao warmly welcomed them.

In his message, Metrobank Foundation President Chito Sobrepeña said, that “through this Spectrum exhibition, we challenge and inspire the Filipino youth through actual examples of millennials and masters who made breakthroughs in their creative crafts.”

This is in line with Art MADE Public’s aim to spread awareness on Philippine art and heritage through a series of exhibits, lectures, and workshops which are facilitated by renowned Filipino artists, as well as architectural and heritage practitioners in select venues nationwide.

Made Public 2020 will also be at SM Angono, Rizal on March 19 to 25, and SM Lanang Premier, Davao on April 3 to 10.
