Howe Street in Vancouver closed due to police incident

Howe Street, a busy corridor in downtown Vancouver, is closed to all traffic this morning due a police incident.
Vancouver police spokesman Sgt. Aaron Roed says officers are dealing with an individual inside a building in the area of Howe Street and Davie Street.
Howe Street southbound from Davie Street to Drake is closed to all traffic due to an ongoing police incident. #VanTraffic
“Officers do have the area contained with roads blocked off allowing VPD to work in the area. Davie Street will be disrupted in both directions and Howe Street southbound will be closed from Davie Street,” said Roed.
No other information was released.
The closure applies to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
