Warning issued about high-risk sex offender set to visit Lower Mainland

Authorities are warning the public about a high-risk sex offender who is set to spend time in the Lower Mainland.
Daniel Isto, 48, is the subject of a B.C. Corrections public notice issued Wednesday. The warning notes that Isto will be spending time in Vancouver, North Vancouver and Bowen Island.
Isto has a criminal history which includes two counts of sexual interference, one count of sexual assault and one of breach of prohibition order.
“He poses a significant risk of sexual offending against female children under the age of 16, particularly ages 5 to 15 years old,” the notice reads.
Isto is 5-feet-4, and weighs about 150 pounds. His is described as a white man with brown hair and blue eyes. He must abide by the following court-ordered conditions:
• Not to visit any park, swimming area or community centre where there may be individuals under the age of 16, or daycares, schools or playground.
• No contact or communication or be alone or in the presence of anyone who may be under the age of 16.
• Not engage in activities, volunteer work or employment associated with anyone under the age of 16.
• Not date, marry or enter into a common-law relationship with anyone who cares for or associates with anyone under the age of 16.
• Not possess or consume alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances.
• Not possess any pornographic material or access pornographic material electronically.
• Not possess any gun, cross-bow, prohibited or restricted weapon or device, ammunition or explosive substance.
Anyone who spots Isto violating any of these conditions is asked to contact local police.
