Mounties in Surrey say they have seized a loaded shotgun and drug-trafficking paraphernalia at a residence in Guildford.
Last week, Surrey RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in the 14800-block of 107A Avenue, related to an investigation into unlawful weapons possession.
During the probe, police found and seized the shotgun, small amounts of suspected narcotics, along with drug-processing and packaging materials consistent with drug trafficking, according to an RCMP news release Wednesday.
An 18-year-old Surrey man was arrested at the residence and later released.
The investigation is continuing. No charges have been laid.
Anyone with more information about this incident is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or solvecrime.ca.
CORRECTION:Surrey RCMP said an earlier statement that the seized shotgun was “sawed-off” was incorrect.
