2 senior citizens die in Novaliches home fire

TWO senior citizens died on Wednesday when a fire hit their home in Kaligayahan Village, Novaliches in Quezon City.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the couple as Cresencio Catig, 66, and Salvacion Catig, 63.

They were found dead in their comfort room because of suffocation, the fire agency said. Their three pet dogs also died in the fire incident.

The blaze started at 4 a.m. and was immediately declared fire out.
