OVERSEAS Filipinos to be repatriated from Hubei, China will be quarantined at Fort Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija, the Department of Health (DoH) said on Wednesday.

“They will be on quarantine. Because they are coming from the hot zone,” said Health Undersecretary for Public Health Services Team Myrna Cabotaje in a hearing by the House of Representatives’ Committee on Metro Manila Development.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) had said that 42 Filipinos would be repatriated from Hubei and were expected to arrive in the country in the next few days.

Cabotaje said the OFWs would fly directly to Clark, Pampanga and transported to Fort Magsaysay, which could accommodate 10,000 individuals who would require isolation.

She said DoH was also looking for other quarantine sites such as the Caballo Island.
