Vancouver Weather: Snowfall warning in effect

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Tuesday, Feb. 4. Get ready for some more snow, Metro Vancouver! Environment and Climate Change Canada has posted a snowfall warning, forecasting up to 20 centimetres in some areas of the region on Tuesday and overnight. The agency says warmer air will move in later Tuesday, and the snow may turn to rain at lower elevations, but snow at higher elevations such as the North Shore and Burnaby Mountain. Overnight expect snow, mixed with rain, with the temperature rising to 3 C by morning. Then, it looks like periods of rain on Wednesday, with a high of 5 C and rain on Thursday and Friday, with highs of 6 C both day. The weekend looks a bit brighter. A mix of sun and cloud is expected on Saturday, with a chance of rain, and a high of 7 C. Sunday and Monday both look partly cloudy, with sunshine and 7 C.
Today: Cloudy. Snow beginning this morning. Amount 10 cm. Windy near the water this afternoon. Temperature steady near plus 1.
Tonight: Snow mixed with rain changing to rain mixed with snow after midnight. Snowfall amount 5 cm. Windy near the water this evening. Temperature rising to plus 3 by morning.
Tomorrow: Periods of rain. Temperature steady near plus 5.
