Makeover: Grey hair goes from frizz to fabulous

Marianela Martinez, 59, is counsellor and volunteer. She wanted to treat herself to a new look as part of a self care plan post breast cancer.
Marianela has very thick, course and naturally wavy hair. It tends to get frizzy, due to the nature of grey hair texture, and she felt it was shapeless and unmanageable.
I shampooed her hair using Oribe Silverati Shampoo and Conditioner to gently cleanse and brighten silver hair. To control the frizz and smooth out the hair, I applied a Oribe Moisture and Control Priming Lotion Leave-in Conditioner. This is a great product to help detangle and smooth out the cuticle of the hair and for a soft, touchable finish.
I sectioned her hair into a central vertical parting and eliminated one inch from the overall length. I shortened and slightly layered the front piece of her hair to frame the face, and to soften and enhance her facial features.
Before styling, I sprayed Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Spray to smooth out the hair while providing heat protection. I used a medium round brush to blow out her hair and create a soft bevel to the ends and a soft side sweep through the front.
To finish I sprayed Oribe Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray for light hold and humidity shielding
We kept Marianela’s makeup very simple a) because she rarely wears makeup and b) because her skin is very sensitive. We evened out her complexion with a light application of BB Cream and brightened under the eyes with a lightweight concealer. We contoured her face with bronzer and used the bronzing palette to softly contour her eyes. We rimmed her eyes with brown eyeliner, curled her lashes, and coated them with black mascara. On her lips we used a light coral-pink.
