Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits Davao del Sur

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Davao Del Sur on Friday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs spotted the epicenter of the quake at 25 kilometers northeast of Digos City town at 7:18 p.m.
It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 28 kms from the surface.
Intensity 2 was recorded in Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
Instrumental intensities were also felt in the following areas:
Intensity 4 – Malungon, Sarangani, Koronadal City and Tupi, South Cotabato
Intensity 3 – Alabel, Sarangani, and Ganeral Santos City
Intensity 2 – Kiamba, Sarangani
Phivolcs said it was not expecting any damage but aftershocks were possible. FRANZ LEWIN EMBUDO
