DepEd early registration on today

The Department of Education said yesterday that the scheduled early registration for school year 2020-2021 will push through today, Saturday, Feb. 1, amid the threat of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the country.

Undersecretary for Planning and Field Operations Jesus Mateo said that the scheduled early registration from Feb. 1 to March 6 will push through as planned.

However, Mateo reminded that “they have to take precautionary measures.”

Memorandum No. 08-0120-0598 issued by DepEd Undersecretary for Administration Alain del Pascua dated Jan. 24, 2020 alerted all regional directors, schools division superintendents, principals or school heads, both teaching and non-teaching personnel, learners, and all others concerned to take precautionary measures against the possible spread of the virus.
