Vancouver Weather: Rainfall warning issued

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Thursday, Jan. 30.Today’s weather looks mainly cloudy, with rain beginning in the afternoon, and a high of 8 C. A rainfall warning has been issued, as of 4 p.m., for Metro Vancouver. Overnight there will be heavier rain, with up to 25 millimetres expected, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The heavy rain should continue through Friday morning, easing up around noon, with a high of 11 C. Overnight Friday, the mercury dips down to 4 C with rain, and then the weekend looks chilly. On Saturday, expect showers and 6 C, with an overnight low of 2 C. Then on Sunday, also Groundhog Day, the region could see some snow. The agency is forecasting rain or snow flurries with a high of 4 C, and then an overnight low going below zero to around – 1 C, with possible rain or snow. Monday looks pleasant with a mix of sun and cloud, and 6 C. Then there could be more snow overnight Monday, before the weather warms up a bit and it’s back to rain on Tuesday.
