Fugitive policeman in Ampatuan Massacre nabbed

ONE of the Ampatuan Massacre fugitives was arrested along the boundary of Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao, police reported on Tuesday.

Lt. Col. Barney Condes, Force Commander of Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 12, identified the suspect as PO1 Suari Esmail Pagabangan.

Pagabangan was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Monday in an operation by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) called “Manhunt Charlie”.

Condes said that the warrant of arrest for murder was served against the suspect, who had a P300,000 bounty on his head.

Pagabangan will be turned over to Branch 221 of the Quezon City court, Condes said.
