Vancouver police are releasing video footage of three individuals who may have information about a serious West End assault that has left a man in hospital for nearly two months.
On Nov. 30, 2019 just before 1 a.m., police were called to Thurlow Street north of Davie for a report of an assault. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from extensive injuries. Investigators believe the victim was involved in an argument with a group and then assaulted. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene along with two other individuals.
When VPD made their initial plea for tips on Dec. 6, 2019, investigators said they had not been able to interview the victim due to his injuries.
On Monday, Vancouver police released new surveillance footage of three individuals who may know what happened in the November attack.
“Video obtained by investigators shows two males and one female in the area of the assault,” said Sgt. Aaron Roed. “We want to speak with these individuals. They may have valuable information that could help us and just don’t know that they do.”
The victim remains in hospital where he is recovering from life-altering injuries.
Anyone with information about the assault or who may recognize the individuals in the video is asked to contact 604-717-2541.
