Vancouver Police identify city's third murder victim of 2020

A 45-year-old woman has been identified as the city’s third homicide victim of the year.
Tonya Hyer was killed January 19 in Gastown.
Paramedics responding to a call at 112 Water Street at about 1:30 a.m. called police. “The victim had been injured but paramedics were unable to resuscitate her,” said police in a news release.
There have been no arrests and police are urging those with information to come forward.
“Investigators believe there are people in the community who know Hyer and have information surrounding her death,” said Vancouver Police Constable Tania Visintin.
“Any piece of information, no matter how small, can help.”
