Highway to Tofino, Ucluelet closed in both directions due to rock debris

Rock debris from overnight blasting work on the Pacific Rim Highway near Ucluelet has closed the highway in both directions this morning.

The obstruction occurred on Highway 4 between Toquart Bay Road and Nahmit Forest Service Road, 14 kilometres east of Pacific Rim National Park’s southern boundary.

The Transportation Ministry’s DriveBC site says to expect an update on road conditions at noon.
