Dave Matthews Band announced the 2020 North American summer tour, which launches June 16 with a two-nighter at Mohengan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The band’s only Canadian date on the tour is in Vancouver on Sept. 2.

The long-running jam band’s traditional three-night Labour Day stand at the Gorge Amphitheatre has long been where fans in the Pacific Northwest headed to see the group. It will return to the fabled Washington State venue Sept. 4-6, with a supporting line-up including Mavis Staples, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Allen Stone, Robert Randolph and the Family Band and Dumpstafunk.

The support act for the Vancouver show is TBA.

The Live Nation-produced tour includes partnership with Dreaming Tree Wines, DocuSign and the Nature Conservancy all pitching in to help plant one million trees as part of the Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign. Concertgoers will have the option of adding a $2 donation per ticket to the campaign.

Dave Matthews Band was named a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador in 2019. The DMB has a long history of attempting to limit the carbon footprint from touring and concerts, dating back to its earliest performances in the 1990s. The band’s most recent album, 2018’s Come Tomorrow, was its seventh consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
