3,000 Taal evacuees seek medical attention

The Department of Health yesterday said that more than 3,000 evacuees affected by the recent eruption of Taal Volcano have sought medical consultation for different common illnesses.
“As of yesterday, we recorded 3,773 cases of common illnesses for which consultation were sought,” said Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.
Illnesses experienced by the evacuees were common respiratory illnesses, hypertension, diarrhea, eye irritation, and skin diseases.
