Harrison Chua Gue is one of four senior vice presidents of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (MBTC). On Jan. 13, 2020, he reported in an amended initial statement that he does not own an MBTC share.

A public ownership report (POR) as of Dec. 31, 2019 confirmed this because he was not listed as holder of the bank’s common share. Only eight of MBTC’s executives held a total of 461,886 common shares, or 0.01 percent of 4,497,415,555 outstanding shares, according to the POR.

In the POR, MBTC also showed the ownerships of the stocks of the bank’s 12-person board, which totaled 33,854,512 common shares, of which 33,774,182 common shares, or 0.75 percent, were directly owned. Only two of the bank’s 12 directors indirectly held MBTC common shares. They were Solomon S. Cua and Vicente R. Cuna Jr., who directly owned 113 and 129 common shares, respectively. They were two of the bank’s five independent directors and were credited with indirect ownerships of 47,560 common shares and 32,770 common shares, respectively.

On Jan. 20, 2020, MBTC common shares opened trading at P65.05, hit a high of P65.20, fell to a low of P64.20, and closed the day’s session at P65. The stock peaked at a 30-day high of P68.30, but fell to a month’s low of P62.50.

Liberty Flour Mills Inc. (LFM) listed the public as holders of 74,697,860 common shares, or 49.80 percent, according to the company’s POR, which showed the company having 150 million outstanding common shares as of Dec. 31, 2019.

Of the outstanding, Liberty Flour’s 11 directors directly owned 14,211,168 common shares, or 9.44 percent. The company listed four executives who did not own a single share, either directly or indirectly, but had two independent directors, Jose A. Feria Jr. and David Ng, who directly owned 36 common shares and 377 common shares, respectively.

Also as of Dec. 31, 2019, LFM named Parity Values Inc. as principal or substantial stockholder with direct ownership of 61,090,972 common shares, or 40.72 percent. It listed four executives, namely William Carlos Uy, Jose Ma. S. Lopez, Sandra Judy Uy and Vicente S. Vargas, who, however, did not own a single common share.

On Jan. 20, 2020, LFM common shares traded at P42.10 throughout the day’s session, but only had a volume of 100 common shares. The stock hit a 30-day high of P75 and a 30-day low of P26.40.

In a quarterly filing, Far Eastern University (FEU) said it had 16,477,023 outstanding common shares, with each having P100 par value. In a consolidated financial filing covering the first half of fiscal year (FY) 2019-2020, its school, which it said is a group, had an operating income P503.87 million, an improvement of P14.41 million compared with the same period’s P489.46 million.

In the same quarterly report, FEU said its net educational revenue totaled P1,726,320,677, an increase of P168,936,162 over P1,557,384,515 in the same period last year. It grossed P37,988,903 from what the school classified as “sale of investment property.” It had other income of P66,903,039 in FY 2019-2020.

Among FEU’s expenses were salaries that amounted during the period to P494,594,408; taxes and licenses, P41,417,855; depreciation, P200,466,851; and employee benefits, P165,314,075 against last year’s P137,539,091.

On Jan. 20, 2020, FEU common shares traded at P890 each from opening to closing. The stock peaked at 30-day high of P926 and fell to a 30-day low of P890.

Integrated Microelectronics Inc. (IMI) reported its authorized capital stock (ACS) in a general information sheet (GIS) at 2.25 billion common shares and 200 million preferred shares for a total of 2.45 billion shares with a par value of P1 each.

Of the ACS, 2,233,185,439 common shares, or 91.15 percent, were both subscribed and paid up. It had 135 Filipinos, who paid for 1,715,733,739 common shares — 1,699,841,515 common shares, or 77 percent, and 15,892,224 common shares, or 0.712 percent of outstanding. The company said it had two Japanese stockholders who subscribed and paid for 7,815,382 IMI common shares, or 0.0.35 percent.

IMI’s top three stockholders, according to the GIS, were AC Industrial Technology Corp. with 1,153,725,046 common shares, or 52.03 percent; PCD Nominee Corp., 504,345,891 common shares, or 22.75 percent; and Resins Inc., 291,785,034 common shares, or 13.16 percent. PCD Nominee was also listed at number 4 as holder of 205,858,187 common shares, or 9.28 percent.

On Jan . 20, 2020, IMI common shares opened trading at P7.80; hit a high of P7.95; dropped to a low of P7.76; and closed the session at P7.80. The stock peaked at 30-ay high of P8.40 and fell to a month’s low of P7.50.
