PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte’s life-long passion for motorcycles continues as he once again went for a 30-minute ride on Wednesday night.
Duterte gamely posed for a photo, showing him riding a three-wheeled motorcycle, along with his former special aide and now Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go who shared the photos to the media.
Go said the 74-year-old President went for a ride at the compound of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) in Manila at about 6:30 p.m.
Duterte, who was accompanied by Go and his aides, was also seen trying out a black two-wheeled motorbike.
In October last year, Duterte sustained some scrapes and bruises following a motorcycle accident also inside the PSG compound.
As a result, Duterte had to cut short his trip to Japan where he attended the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito because of severe back pain, which his doctor said was a case of muscular spasm.
Days later, the President was seen riding a motorcycle again.
A motorcycle enthusiast, Duterte used to ride his own bike in Davao City even after he was already declared president.
Duterte has previously admitted to having a misaligned spine as result of a motorcycle accident years ago.
