Medical teams from the Philippines Coast Guard (PCG) Station in Southern Tagalog were deployed to provide much-needed assistance to affected families who are taking shelter in various evacuation centers in the region amid the Taal Volcano eruption.

“PCG District in Southern Tagalog has deployed medical teams to provide assistance to evacuees who are experiencing difficulties in breathing and other health-related issues caused by inhaled ashfall,” the Coast Guard said.

“N95 masks are currently being distributed to the evacuees, especially to children, senior citizens, and pregnant mothers,” it added.
