Police investigating a homicide in Surrey

One man is dead and another man has been arrested in what police are describing as a homicide in Surrey early Thursday morning.
Surrey RCMP say shortly before 1 a.m., they received a report of an assault in progress in the 7500-block of 120th street.
When they arrived they found a man dead. A second man was located nearby and arrested. He remains in custody.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is investigating, and plan to be in the area for some time.
