SORSOGON CITY – Forty-two passengers, two drivers and a conductor miraculously survived when a Samar-bound bus fell into a 50-meter deep ravine in Barangay Hidhid, Matnog town, Sorsogon province, Monday morning.

Colonel Roque Bausa, director of Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (PPO), said an Eagle Star bus with body number 8168 from Metro Manila fell off a cliff at about 9:50 a.m. while traveling along a descending sharp curve of the national highway in Barangay Hidhid.

Bausa said only three people sustained minor injuries. All of the passengers were brought to Matnog Medicare Hospital for medical attention.
