For Christmas, President Rodrigo Duterte is wishing for lasting peace and comfortable lives for the people, according to his spokesman Salvador Panelo.
The critics should join the state in the flow of our society to a higher level toward prominence),” Panelo said in an interview over radio DZIQ on Sunday.
‘Yun ang palaging wish ng Presidente taun-taon (Second, he wants every Filipino to have a comfortable life. That is the President’s constant wish, yearly),” he added.
Panelo earlier said the President would have a “simple” Christmas celebration with his loved ones in his hometown in Davao City.
He added that the President would be having the usual Noche Buena (Christmas Eve meal) with his family and grandchildren.
Last year, Duterte visited young cancer patients, a tradition he has observed since he was mayor of Davao City.
When asked about the President’s plans for his remaining three years in office, Panelo said Duterte would pursue his campaign against drugs and corruption.
Like what he always says, he will not cease until his last day in leadership his war against drugs in this country),” he added.
