Mangudadatu: Nothing less than a ‘100% guilty verdict’

MAGUINDANAO 2nd District Rep. Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu said on Thursday that he wanted a “100 percent guilty verdict” for all the suspects.
Mangudadatu said that a decision in favor of the victims would be a “great Christmas present.”
“It’s a mixed emotion but we are positive on the decision,” said Mangudadatu in an interview with reporters after he arrived at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City where the promulgation on the 10-year-old case would be read.
Mangudadatu said that a guilty verdict was not enough instead a he wanted a death penalty.
“Death penalty dapat bitay para di tularan nilalagay nila ang batas sa kanilang kamay [It should be death penalty, they put the law into their hands],” Mangudadatu told reporters.
In the massacre, Mangudadatu’s wife, two sisters, and 12 other relatives were killed.
A total of 58 people were killed in what is has been considered one of the most violent crimes in Philippine history. DARWIN PESCO
