What it is: A selection of gifts and goodies from the British body-care brand The Body Shop offering a variety of items for an assortment of holiday needs.

While most of the retailer’s advent calendars have long been sold out online, there are still quite a few product options on offer for all those last-minute gift shoppers out there. In addition to offering savings through product bundles — not to mention coming packaged in pre-decorated boxes that basically nix the need for gift wrap — the sale of the holiday collection items give back.

For the holiday season The Body Shop has partnered with the global children’s charity Plan International to “unlock girls’ dreams through education and training.” In Canada, that will see the company donate $50,000 to Canadian Youth Programs with a focus on those that benefit women and girls.

What we say: We love the idea of gifts that give back. Especially to organizations right here in Canada.

The collection features favourites such as British Rose and Tea Tree, as well as three new limited-edition seasonal ranges: Juicy Pear, Warm Vanilla and Rich Plum. (Our tester loved the Warm Vanilla, which she said has a “sweet and toasty” smell.)

We can appreciate how the holiday collection also offers options at pretty much every gifting price point, which means there’s no need to blow the holiday budget in the name of neat gifts. You can give great presents, while doing something good, and stay on budget too. It’s a Christmas miracle.

Where to get it: The Body Shop; thebodyshop.com.

What it will cost you: From $10.
