Army values human rights, Gapay assures

The Philippine Army yesterday reiterated its commitment to promote and value the human rights of every Filipino, in time for the commemoration of the National Human Rights Consciousness Week.

“The PA, along with the implementation of its institutional transformation, is strictly adhering to the rule of law, the International Humanitarian Law, as well as other related laws and policies that promote and advocate respect for human rights,” said Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay, newly designated Army commanding general.

Republic Act No. 9201 declared Dec. 4 to 10 as the National Human Rights Consciousness Week.

Gapay claimed that the Army has a net trust rating of +79 and a net satisfaction rating of +75 in 2018.
