Cloudy skies, rains this weekend

Cloudy skies with rain showers will prevail over parts of Luzon this weekend due to the tail-end of a cold front and the prevailing northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the State weather bureau said yesterday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the tail-end of a cold front will continue to affect eastern section of Luzon, particularly Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

This will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms that may trigger flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.
