If you are tired of fumbling through your wallet for your Compass Card and if you think the Compass wristband gives off too much of a ‘just released from the hospital’ vibe, you may be interested in TransLink’s latest transit pass option — the Compass Mini.

The Compass Mini looks, no surprise, like a miniature Compass Card and was made to attach to keychains, backpacks and belt loops.

You could even put it on a chain around your neck. Or maybe — if you don’t mind bowing down to the card scanner — a smart-looking earring.

“Compass Wristbands have been a real hit and I’m sure customers will enjoy the convenience and practicality of the new Compass Mini,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Desmond.

TransLink is releasing 5,000 blue adult Minis and 2,500 orange concession Minis starting Friday.

The Compass Mini can picked up, in exchange for a $6 refundable deposit, at the Compass Customer Service Centre at Stadium–Chinatown Station or the West Coast Express Office in Waterfront Station while supplies last.
