MALL operators offered shelter against the strong winds and heavy rain of typhoon “Tisoy” (international name: Kammuri).
In separate statements posted on their respective Facebook accounts, Ayala Malls, SM Supermalls, Robinsons and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls opened their malls for their customers affected by flooding.
They also waived the overnight parking fees.
“We’ll keep our doors open for you — our customers — to wait out the storm inside the safety and comfort of our malls,” Ayala said.
SM said that “overnight parking charges are waived for … nearby residents [as well] who wish to seek temporary shelter during typhoon.”
Robinsons and Megaworld said that free WiFi access would be available in their malls. TYRONE JASPER PIAD
