Duterte names 2 new SC justices — sources

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has appointed 2 new Supreme Court justices, sources privy to the selection said.

They are Court of Appeals (CA) Visayas Executive Justice Edgardo delos Santos and CA Justice Mario Lopez.

They replaced retired senior associate justice Antonio Carpio and associate justice Francis Jardeleza.

Deputy Special Prosecutor Cornelio Somido was named the new deputy ombudsman for Luzon. JOMAR CANLAS
