Agatha Wong won the Philippines’ second gold medal after defeating her opponents in the women’s taolu taijiquan (wushu) in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Sunday morning at the World Trade Center.

Wong tallied 9.67 points as she bested eight athletes from six countries to defend her title in the biennial meet.

She snared the gold in taijiquan in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Brunei’s Lachkar Basma (9.55) and Vietnam’s Tran Thi Minh Huyen (9.53) finished second and third, respectively. JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA
