Richmond man, 83, dies in single-vehicle accident

A 83-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Richmond.
Richmond RCMP say the man was the lone occupant of a Cadillac sedan that struck a hydro pole around 2 p.m. in the area of No. 4 Road and Tomicki Avenue.
Police say the vehicle sustained “catastrophic damage.”
The driver’s name was not released.
The RCMP’s criminal collision investigation team is seeking the public’s help in the investigation.
