Cops declare PNB building safe after bomb threat

MANILA, Philippines — Police found no explosives at the Philippine National Bank (PNB) Financial Center in Pasay City after its personnel received a bomb threat on Tuesday.

According to Pasay City police, an HR officer of the bank received a text message from an unidentified person at 12:04 p.m. threatening that a bomb will explode in the facility.

The threat was immediately reported to the police.

Around 3,000 people occupying the 12-story building were evacuated following the threat.

Police concluded the inspection and said the building is clear of explosives at 4:15 p.m.

Further investigation is ongoing.
