EMPLOYEES and officials of the Philippine Airlines (PAL) evacuated their office in Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City after it received a bomb scare on Tuesday.
PAL spokesman Cielo Villaluna said a text message to the Philippine National Bank (PNB) at 2:10 p.m. said that a bomb would explode anytime within the PNB compound.
Villaluna added that bomb squad from the Philippine National Police (PNP) who arrived in the area immediately conducted a bomb sweep and panelling of the entire building.
Police declared the building safe after the bomb squad found nothing.
PAL warned that carrying out a bomb hoax was a criminal offense and punishable by law.
“For those who have nothing better to do, and are behind this, may the law catch up with you,” Villaluna said.
