Body found in a burning SUV in Abbotsford

Homicide detectives have been called in to investigate after a body was found in a burning vehicle in Abbotsford Friday night.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team confirmed on Twitter early Saturday that investigators were on site in the 5300-block of Bates Road.
The Abbotsford fire department was called out late Friday night to a report of an SUV on fire. Inside the vehicle they found a body.
Abbotsford police determined the death suspicious, and IHIT was called in to take over the case.
There is no word yet on whether the body has been identified, or whether it is a gang-related incident.
Investigators are seeking witnesses or dash cam video. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Abbotsford police.
