Permit to carry firearms suspended for SEA Games

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) suspended the permit to carry firearms during the Southeast Asian Games.
The order, contained in a memorandum signed by Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa, PNP officer in charge, covers Calabarzon (Region 4-A), Central Luzon, National Capital Region (NCR), and the province of La Union and is effective from November 20 to December 14.

Based on the memorandum signed by PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa, all Permits to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR) will be suspended in Region 4-A, Central Luzon, National Capital Region (NCR), and province of La Union.
Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas, NCRPO chief, said the full alert status in Metro Manila would run from November 25 to December 14.
No threat has been received by the NCRPO, Sinas reported.
A total of 27,440 personnel will be deployed in New Clark City, Metro Manila, Laguna, Tagaytay, Subic, and Bulacan.
The SEA Games will be from November 30 to December 11. DARWIN PESCO
