A 30-year-old Surrey man murdered earlier this week is the elder brother of a Chilliwack man shot to death just last month.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said the man found in critical condition just before 5 p.m. Monday at a home in the 10700-block of 124 Street is Andrew Baldwin. He died later in hospital.
IHIT’s Sgt. Frank Jang said dog handlers were brought in to conduct a search for the suspect, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants with reflective material around the bottom of the pant leg.
“He was last seen northbound on 124 Street from the scene. Mr. Baldwin’s death was deemed a homicide and IHIT was then called in to take conduct of the investigation,” Jang said in a news release.
“We urge anyone with details of Andrew Baldwin’s activities before his unfortunate death, to come forward and speak to investigators. We also urge any witnesses and drivers with dash cam video who were in the area of Old Yale and Scott Road to contact us, so we can ultimately determine those responsible.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551- 4448 or ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
Keith Baldwin, 27, died after he was shot just after midnight on Oct. 22 near Fletcher Street and Yale Road in Chilliwack.
